One of the great things about your decision to rent apartment in Parkrose Heights is having all sorts of entertainment in the neighbourhood. April will be no exception. In fact, you will find that quite a bit of local events are being held close to your Spring Gardens apartment. Here are some suggestions of places to go and things to see during the coming month.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

If you are not sure what your schedule looks like for April, this is an event you can attend just about any time. That’s because it’s a month-long happening. Just 45 minutes from Portland, every member of the family has the chance to explore 40 acres of tulips. Even the family dog is welcome to come along.

Feel free to pack a picnic lunch and find the perfect spot to relax, enjoy your meal, and take in the scenery. If you would rather savor someone else’s cooking, you purchase food at the site. The adults will love participating in one of the daily wine tastings at the Wooden Shoe Vineyard while the kids will have a lot of fun with the cow train rides.

Soul’d Out Music Festival

Slated for a ten-day run from April 7 to April 17, the Soul’d Out Music Festival attracts an eclectic range of performers each year. Various locations around the city are used for the performances, so you have the chance to visit some of the best music venues in the area. Take in a show or several shows if you like.

Spring Beer and Wine Fest

On April 14, you’ll have the chance to visit the Oregon Convention Center and sample the wares of some of the best breweries and vineyards in the area. Local restaurants will also have food on hand to go along with the drink. If you want to make the most of the event, make sure to get there early. The first 500 guests are admitted at no charge!

Che Malambo

With origins back to the 17th century, Che Malambo is all about feats of strength presented as performance art. With a cast of 14, the combination of traditional Argentine drumming, demonstrations of weapons used in centuries past, and duels designed to show the artistry of the gauchos of Argentina, the show is sure to please.

The first show is set for April 25th at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. While there is the possibility of more dates, don’t take any chances. Talk with your friends and order the tickets in advance.

These are only a few things happening in your area during April. You can enjoy these and other events and still get home each night to sleep in your own comfortable bed at Spring Garden Apartments. Choose a few events to attend with friends, reserve your tickets, and look forward to making the month one of the best you’ve ever known!
